New Zumba and Pilates sessions coming to Catshill

WEEKLY Zumba and Pilates sessions will be back by popular demand at Catshill Village Hall next month, writes Natalie Hanson.

Starting on September 5, the sessions will be held each Thursday with Zumba from 1pm to 2pm and Pilates between 2pm and 3pm.

Everyone is welcome to the classes which are £3.30 each.

The new sessions follow a consultation by Bromsgrove District Council.

Portfolio Holder for Health and Wellbeing and Catshill councillor Shirley Webb said it was great to be able to respond to feedback from residents about what they said they wanted to do.

“My constituents in Catshill were really keen to have more opportunities to exercise so I am pleased we can now deliver this.”

Pilates focuses on strengthening the body and is particularly good for stomach muscles after childbirth and the lower back.

Zumba is more upbeat with salsa and flamenco music making the sessions more like a dance party than a workout.
