AN OPPORTUNITY for organisations to deliver events in Bromsgrove’s community spaces has presented itself in the form of new grants.
Bromsgrove District Council is making grants, up to £5,000, available to registered community organisations and consortiums of businesses.
The New Community Events Grants, funded by the Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, will help organisations deliver events in community spaces across the district.
Leader of Bromsgrove District Council and portfolio holder for economic development and regeneration, councillor Karen May, said: “Grants like the Community Events grant are essential for local organisations to be able to hold events and deliver for their communities, in their communities, and we are very proud to support that.”
Grants are available to fund new events or to cover the costs of increasing capacity of existing events. Each event must come under the categories of film, TV, music, radio, Heritage, arts, museums and libraries, culture, sports, volunteering and social action.
Eligible expenditure for the grant funding includes venue hire, marketing, licences, performers, staffing costs, and equipment & facility hire.
The allocation of grants is on a first come, first served basis and is subject to available funding. All grant funded events must be delivered by February 28, 2026.
Applicants must complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) form prior to applying for the grant.
Applications will be open in rounds, EOI’s can be submitted at any time, but full applications can only be submitted when a funding round is open.
The first round of applications is open until June 18 and subsequent rounds will be subject to available funding.
