BIRMINGHAM Oddfellows’ new Bromsgrove friendship group has been hailed as a ‘roaring success’ by organisers following its launch event.
Their first session took place at Bromsgrove Golf Centre on Monday, September 5 and was a chance for older or retired residents to meet new people and enjoy a good day out.
The new group was launched as part of its national friendship month celebrations and saw members play plenty of games and enjoy a coffee.
Social Organiser, Amy Lyness said: “It was a fantastic event, with lots of fun and laughter for all.
“Friendship is more important than ever these days, and we want to make sure that everybody across Birmingham can access fun, affordable events to meet up with and make new friends.
“Everyone’s welcome, and we’d love to see even more friendly faces at our next get-together.”
The friendship group’s next event will be held at Bromsgrove Golf Centre between 11am and 12.30pm on Monday, October 3.
