Mum hurt in hit and run as she walked with her young son in Belbroughton

A MUM was hit by a car while she walked with her young son in Belbroughton on Sunday.

The impact of the collision, around 3.25pm in Hackmans Gate Lane, knocked the woman in her 40s to the ground, injuring her leg.

The mum and the boy were facing the oncoming traffic when the incident happened.

The driver failed to stop and police are now trying to trace them.

The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
