Motorist caught using handheld phone in Rubery arrested after roadside drugs test

A DRIVER stopped in Rubery today for using a handheld mobile phone at the wheel was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after officers smelt cannabis.

The motorist undertook a roadside drugs wipe test and was found to have been under the influence of cannabis and cocaine.

The driver was then arrested by the officers from Worcestershire’s Operational Policing Unit (OPU).
