Motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in crash on the A38 in Rubery

A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Rubery at 5.20pm yesterday evening.

The incident involving a car and the motorbike happened on the southbound side of the A38 near to the junction of Manor Lane.

The 27-year-old motorcycle rider from Birmingham was given emergency treatment by paramedics and a BASICS doctor at the scene and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with the doctor on board the ambulance.

Although at first his injuries were thought to be life threatening his condition has since improved.




The road was closed for a number of hours.

One fire crew from Bromsgrove attended and made the vehicles safe.


Police are investigating the crash.
