Motorcyclist dies in Frankley crash

A MOTORCYLIST has died after a crash in Frankley.

The collision, involving a Suzuki motorbike and an Iveco van, happened on Egghill Lane. at the junction of Frankley Hill Lane around 10.50am on Friday.

The 27-year-old rider died at the scene.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance to the scene.




A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The man was in a critical condition and ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support.

“Sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”


The driver of the van was uninjured in the incident.

West Mercia Police have appealed for witnesses, anyone with information or dash cam footage to call PC Keyte on 101.
