MORE than 200 people attended the Bromsgrove Community Christmas Carol Concert at St John’s Church on Wednesday.

Bromsgrove District Council chairman Coun Helen Jones and Rev Ray Khan welcomed those gathered before the popular carols and addresses by Rev Richard Wilde from Bromsgrove Methodist Church, Rev Paul Lewis from the Baptist Church and vice-chairman Coun Caroline Spencer.

Lickey End First School and Fairfield First School choirs performed and Marion Kenyon from NewStarts gave a speech about the charity and what it did.

A collection was also held for NewStarts which is Coun Jones’ chosen charity of the year.

Afterwards everyone enjoyed hot drinks, including mulled wine, mince pies and stollen.
