MKM Bromsgrove will be supporting the Harry Bennett Foundation as part of the firms national ‘100 good deeds’ campaign.

The builders merchant is carrying out the campaign to celebrate the opening of the Bromsgrove store – MKM’s 100th nationwide.

Each MKM branch will carry out a good deed in their local community over the next few months, including supporting charities, supplying materials for community schemes, or dedicating time to local projects that are making a real difference.

HB9 – The Harry Bennett Foundation – helps local people through the power of sport.

The charity was launched in memory of South Bromsgrove High School student Harry Bennett who died at the age of 16 after a short illness.

Harry was very sporty, playing football for Meadow Park Football Club, rugby for Bromsgrove RFC an then Kings Norton and was also a keen cricketer.

HB9 – Harry’s legacy – was started to give individuals and teams the help and support they need to realise their sporting dreams and to benefit from the full physical and mental benefits sport provides.

Whether it is playing, taking part or watching, the charity’s aim is to give everyone who wants help that support they need.

Malcolm Hawley, Branch Director at MKM Bromsgrove, said: “We are extremely proud to be part of MKM’s ‘100 Good Deeds’ campaign.

“Ultimately, supporting good causes is really important to MKM and our staff.

“We are a business at the heart of our local community and we want to make a positive impact and difference to the areas where our staff and customers live and work.”
