YOUNGSTERS at Millfields First School got the chance to quiz Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid on his job in government recently.

Mr Javid, who appeared virtually over Zoom, was asked about the hardest decision he’s had to make as an MP, his proudest moment and what he wanted to be when he was younger.

The pupils at the Swift Close school also quizzed him on his favourite hobbies and whether he had met the Queen.

Headteacher Lisa Montandon said: “We are grateful that Mr Javid could join us for our Parliament Week assembly.

“It was a great way to round off the children’s learning.

“They really enjoyed listening to him and found out some very interesting and amusing facts.

“We hope children have been inspired to take an interest in governance and we look forward to inviting Mr Javid to our school again in the future.”
