THE MET Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain across Bromsgrove, Rubery and south Birmingham throughout today, tomorrow and Thursday.

The first rain is expected to arrive this afternoon and it is then expected to be continuous and heavy, through to the night and into the early hours of Thursday.

It warned homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to buildings and fast-flowing or deep floodwater is possible causing a danger to life.

Delays and cancellations are to be expected on bus and train services and drivers are warned to take care on the roads.

Some areas may be cut off by flooded roads, with the chance of power cuts and other services.
