THIS SUNDAY will be ‘fun day’ when Lizzie’s Farm in Chadwich hosts its annual open event, writes Amy Rose Willis.
There will be plenty to do for families between 10am and 4pm, including meeting all the animals and learning more about life on the farm, with Farmer John.
Entry is free but the family welcomes donations to Macmillan Cancer Support.
There will be a tea room serving home-made cake and drinks throughout the day, as well as barbecue, serving home-grown Highland beef burgers and pork hot dogs.
Dogs are not allowed as they may upset the farm animals.
Lizzie Monk told The Standard: “Open Farm Sunday is a lovely family day out, we can’t wait to introduce everyone to our animals.
“We feel it is an important day for us to show how we look after the countryside and the animals that depend upon us.
“It’s also lots of fun.”
