ENERGETIC eight-year-old Orla Alekna cycled 28 miles in seven days to raise £305 for UNICEF.
The youngster from Bromsgrove was inspired to saddle up after seeing a TV advert for the charity.
After having recently had a new bike she set herself the challenge of cycling a marathon in a week to raise £150 but ended up smashing both her funding and distance targets .
Orla, who attends Millfields First School and Spirals Dance Academy in her spare time, said: “I wanted to help the children who did not have any clean water to drink and was really proud with the amount of money I had made.
“The hardest bit was cycling up the hills.”
Mum Kali thanked everyone who donated and added: “It was all her idea – she did brilliantly.”
