Man threatened with knife during armed robbery at Bromsgrove supermarket

A MAN was threatened with a knife and a large amount of money was stolen during an armed robbery at a Bromsgrove supermarket.

At about 7pm on June 23, a man entered the Deanway Premier supermarket and stole the money from an unattended till.

He was then confronted by a staff member and it is reported he threatened him with a knife.

The thief made off on foot from the scene and headed down a footpath leading to Highfields.




The man is described as being white, in his twenties, of average height and slim build.

No one was injured.


PC Tom Pritchard of West Mercia Police said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, especially if you saw someone acting suspiciously running from the area towards Highfields.
