A MAN was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after he crashed his car into a tree in Clent.
Emergency services were called to the smash on the A491 Stourbridge Road in Clent at around 2.15pm on Monday, November 3.
The fire service were first on the scene, sending two crews from Bromsgrove and one from Stourbridge after they received the call at 2.12pm.
They found the car had hit the tree and was on two wheels.
A man in his 40s was trapped in the vehicle, with the fire service needing to help him escape.
The A491 was closed in both directions, with police being called at around 2.15pm to manage traffic and assist other emergency services.
At 2.19pm, one ambulance, Hazardous Area Response Team paramedics, and the West Midlands Ambulance Service critical care car attended the scene.
They assessed the driver and found he had sustained serious injuries.
He received treatment at the scene before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
