Man in hospital in serious condition following crash in Rubery pub car park

A DRIVER sustained serious injuries when a white Ford Eco Sport crashed into the wall in the car park of Rubery’s New Rose and Crown Pub at 5am on Saturday morning.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service received a call at 5.21am to reports of concern for a patient’s welfare near to the junction of the A38 and Callowbrook Lane in Rubery.

A spokesperson said one ambulance attended and received treatment at the scene before being taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a serious condition.

The a 35-year-old driver, who is from Birmingham, remains in hospital in a serious condition.




Police have urged anyone who saw what happened to call them on 101.
