Man in court after shooting in Northfield

A MAN was set to appear in court today charged in connection with a shooting in Northfield.

Zion St Juste, aged 21, from Birmingham, was scheduled to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning for a first hearing.

He is charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of possession of a firearm with intent.

It follows reports of a man being shot in the hand in Brook Lane on May 14. He sustained injuries which were not life threatening.

A gun was also fired on Gorsymead Grove at around 4.30pm on Thursday, May 28.

One man received gunshot wounds to the leg and was taken to hospital. His injuries were also not life-threatening.




A 25-year-old man who was arrested has been released on bail with strict conditions as our enquiries continue.
