Man held over the burglary of an elderly woman's home in Cofton Hackett this morning

A MAN was arrested following a burglary in Cofton Hackett in the early hours of this morning.

The raider broke into the property in Reservoir Road at 2.15am and stole an elderly woman’s handbag.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.

West Mercia Police have launched an appeal to find witnesses to the raid and are trying to track down two other suspects.




Police patrols have been stepped up to provide reassurance to the local community.

Det Insp Sarah Squires said: “Our enquiries are continuing and I would encourage anyone who has any information that may help to get in contact with us.”
