POLICE have issued a warning to people using cashpoints in Bromsgrove after a man had his wallet snatched while withdrawing money.

The incident happened near the Worcester Newsagents in Worcester Road between 7pm and 7.30pm last Tuesday.

The wallet contained £50 in cash and the victim said there was a woman on the opposite side of the road at the time of the theft who enquired about his welfare.

The wallet was then snatched by an unknown person who ran off down Worcester Road towards Hanover Street.

Anyone in the area at the time who may have information or has dash cam footage should call PC Sarah Wells on 07773 041775 or email her at [email protected]

West Mercia Police urge people to be aware of who is around them when withdrawing money from cash machines and to report any suspicions behaviour, both in the area or with the machines themselves.
