A MAN is wanted by police after he indecently exposed himself and performed a ‘lewd act’ towards a woman in Bromsgrove yesterday morning (Thursday).

At 11.40am yesterday, the woman in her 20s was walking her dog at the old Barnsley Hall site, when a man she had previously seen on a bike, had removed his clothing and exposed himself in front of her.

It is believed he had been performing a lewd act.

The victim escaped and sought help from other dog walkers in the area.

The man is described as being in his late 50s, white, approximately 5’8″ in height and of slim build.

He is reported to have been wearing a hi-vis jacket, dark trousers and trainers riding a black mountain bike.

He left the scene through a nearby housing estate, in the direction of Reed Mace Drive and then down an alleyway that leads to Pennine Road.

PC James Hall of West Mercia Police, said: “This type of incident is extremely rare in the area and I would like to reassure the community that we are taking this report extremely seriously.

“If you know the man matching the description, or have seen him within the area, we are appealing you to come forward, as you may have vital information that may assist with the investigation.

“Officers will be giving particular attention to the area and I would urge anyone with information that could assist with our inquiry to contact police on 101 and quote incident 258s of 4 January 2018.”
