Man charged over fatal hit and run crash in Alvechurch in which a pensioner and his dog were killed

A MAN wanted in connection with a hit and run crash in Alvechurch in which a 63-year-old man and his dog died has been arrested.

James (Jamie) Bullock, 28, from Kidderminster, was arrested on Friday in Stratford-upon-Avon by officers from Warwickshire Police for public order offences.

On Saturday morning he was transferred to the custody of West Mercia Police officers who then charged him with multiple offences in connection with the crash on August 15.

Bullock was charged following an appeal to the public that he was wanted on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving when he struck a man with the car he was driving in Alvechurch, and fled the scene. Both the man and his dog died.




Bullock has been charged with –

Causing death by dangerous driving


Causing death by driving a vehicle – driving without a licence or insurance

Aggravated vehicle taking – (initial taker) death caused by accident

Use a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance

Failing to stop after a road accident, having been the driver involved

Failing to report a road accident, having been the driver involved

Drive a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence

Committing an act/series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice

He has been remanded to appear in court next week.
