A MAN who was caught by police back in February with a knife and six blades on him has been jailed for six months.
The incident happened in Northfield town centre when police responded to reports of shoppers being threatened.
Officers carried out a stop and search and found him with the weapons.
The man failed to turn up to court and was found guilty in his absence, based on the police officer’s evidence.
He was arrested earlier this month for failing to appear in court and was sentenced to the six-month term for knife possession.
