A MAN was arrested this afternoon for making threats to kill in Rubery.
The 34-year-old was held by officers following a stand-off in Pearman Road which lasted more than three hours.
The man had barricaded himself in property and specialist officers from West Midlands Police, along with negotiators, were called to the scene. A cordon was put in place for the safety of the public.
At 12.45pm he left the house voluntarily and was arrested, bringing the incident to a safe conclusion.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We would like to thank the residents for their understanding as we brought the incident to a safe conclusion.”
