A MAN was allegedly caught in Bromsgrove with 80 packages of heroin and crack cocaine, a court heard.

Mohammed Wazir, of Lennox Street in Birmingham, stood before Redditch Magistrates Court on Tuesday (May 19) accused of two counts of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply, namely 3.84 grams of crack cocaine and 5.44 grams of diamorphine.

Wazir pleaded not guilty to both counts and has been released on unconditional bail until he is due to appear at Worcester Crown Court on September 7.

The 30-year-old was co-accused with Deborah Logan, 46, of Pineapple Road in Birmingham, but she did not turn up for court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

The court heard the starting point for the charges Wazir was facing would be four and a half years in custody.
