Rubery pair charged over ram raid in Acocks Green

TWO PEOPLE from Rubery, arrested after a ram raid on a mobile phone shop in Acocks Green on Saturday, have been charged with burglary.

An Audi A3 was stopped by traffic officers on Hagley Road West as it tried to join the dual carriageway travelling in the wrong direction following the raid.

Christopher Clift, aged 41, and 31-year-old Sally Hateley, both from Rednal Mill Drive, Rubery, were also charged with motoring offences.

Clift was charged with driving while disqualified and without insurance.




Hateley was charged with dangerous driving and also without insurance.

They will appear before Birmingham magistrates today.
