A BRAND new love-themed fund-raising campaign has been launched by the Primrose Hospice in the run up to Valentine’s Day.
Letterbox Love will see participants make a donation of their choice to the Primrose Hospice and Family Support Centre.
In return, on Valentine’s Day, the charity’s love bugs will hand deliver a beautiful yellow rose with a special personalised message to their nearest and dearest.
The Primrose urges people to send it to that someone special – whether it be the love of their life, their ‘BFF’ (Best Friend Forever) or someone who has made a difference in their life.
The charity fees all love is special and should be celebrated.
Deliveries will take place on February 14 across Redditch and Bromsgrove.
Yellow Roses symbolise friendship, something the Primrose Hospice promotes and provides through its bereavement support groups.
The groups bring people who have experienced a bereavement together to talk, share and build life-long friendships.
Donations made through their Letterbox Love campaign will help enable the Primrose to continue providing its vital support to the local community.
A spokeseperson said: “Don’t worry if you’re not sure your loved one will be in – the roses will be beautifully packed in a box that can be slipped through a letterbox, a great surprise for their return home.”
People can visit primrosehospice.org/events/letterboxlove/ or call 01527 871051 for more on the scheme and how to take part
People can register to send a rose until February 12.
