ORDINARY people have done extraordinary things in our town. We are indeed blessed by the love and generosity shown by many, by those whose only power is that of offering care and help.
At the heart of the Christmas Story we see ordinary people, doing and experiencing extra ordinary things. A young woman and a carpenter, say yes to God. We see an elderly childless couple being blessed with a child, shepherds on the night shift getting a visit from an angelic choir and wise men rediscovering a promise in their studies. The venue is not a palace or a city, but a stable in a small town. This is the focus of the Christmas Story. These are the main characters, ordinary people.
If God can use the ordinary, the forgotten, and even the broken then God can use you to make a difference in our world.
This Christmas wherever you may be and whatever life has thrown your way, always remember that you are not forgotten and that you have the ability to make a positive difference in our world.
May God bless you all this Christmas.
