Major £14million Hagley housing development completed

A MAJOR £13.8million, 26-home housing development on the edge of Hagley has been completed.

The Hagley Manor residential development on Western Road is made up of 16 open market houses, three First Homes and seven affordable homes, which have been transferred to Bromsgrove District Housing Trust.

All properties on the 3.2-acre site were sold before completion.

Open market homes ranged from three to five bedrooms.

The site was allocated for housing in Bromsgrove District Council’s adopted local plan.

Planning consent was granted to the developers, Cameron Homes, in 2023.

The homes include features such as electric vehicle charging points, solar PV panels, a new cycle path and smart heating controls.

Paul Morrisey, Cameron Homes’ operations director, said: “We are thrilled to see this wonderful development completed in only 18 months, with all 26 houses now lived-in family homes. As it is a sloping site, boundary retainment work was required to create the development area, prior to housebuilding commencing, which required specialist groundworks and site preparation.”

Guy Bebbington, managing director of Cameron Homes, added: “Hagley is one of the most desirable villages across the entire West Midlands.

“Sites for new homes are few and far between, so it’s been wonderful to add to the village’s appeal with a beautiful collection of energy-efficient Cameron houses.”
