THE MAIN swimming pool at Bromsgrove Leisure Centre which has been closed for almost three months because of a leak is set to reopen.
Extensive repair work has been carried by specialist contractors out after bosses found the situation was more complex than first thought.
The works are now complete and the main pool will be reopened on Monday, May 1.
Swimming lessons will resume on Wednesday, May 3.
Bromsgrove Leisure Centre is managed by operator Everyone Active in partnership with Bromsgrove District Council.
The pool is being gradually reheated to the correct temperature for swimming ready for Monday.
Wayne Desmond, contracts manager at Everyone Active said: “I’m delighted that we have been able to complete this complex repair work to the pool at Bromsgrove and re-open to our customers.
“The work unfortunately took longer than expected to resolve but we thank customers for their understanding during this time. We’re thrilled that we’ll be back up and running in the coming days.”
