A DRIVER had a lucky escape after a crash in Northfield this morning.
The collision happened on the Bristol Road outside the Black Horse pub just after 7am.
The driver crashed the car into one of the traffic light poles at the crossing.
The motorist was checked over by West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics and was discharged at the scene.
West Midlands Fire Service also attended.
Police are currently directing traffic through the junction between the Bristol Road and Great Stone Road.
Highways officers are also on the scene attending to the traffic light pole.
