FOUR people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal fight in Longbridge on Sunday night.

Police have also named the victim as 33-year-old Jason D’Aguilar.

Mr D’Aguilar was found with serious injuries after being chased and assaulted in Central Avenue, Longbridge, at around 9.50pm.

He was taken to hospital but sadly died yesterday morning.

Acting on information from the public, four men, aged 21, 26, 26 and 28, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in police custody awaiting questioning.

Det Insp Wes Martin, from West Midlands Police’s homicide unit, said: “We’ve made some quick progress as we seek to establish the circumstances leading to Jason’s death.”

He said officers believed there were still people out there who had information, mobile phone or dash cam footage which could help them piece together what happened.

“I would urge them to do the right thing and tell us what they know so we can get answers for Jason’s grieving family.”

A post mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death is to take place in due course.

Anyone with information is asked to submit it via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk or by calling 101.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
