ASSISTANT business manager from McDonalds in Longbridge is taking on a challenge during September and raising money for Ronald McDonald House Charities specifically the Birmingham House along the way .
Colette will be running 186KM throughout September as that is the distance from McDonalds in Longbridge to the Ronald McDonald House in London.
All runs will be completed at Pure Gym in Longbridge town centre.
Colette said: “I only really started running in July 2021, but I love challenging myself and pushing myself to achieve something, so I decided that I would try and raise money for charity at the same time.
“I’ve worked at McDonalds Longbridge for 13 Years in September so decided the ‘Longbridge To London’ Challenge was how I would celebrate my 13th year of working here and raise vital funds for charity at the same time.
“I know during the pandemic a lot of charities suffered, and RMHC is a charity that our store and franchise supports so I just wanted to give something back.”
Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides families with free accommodation and support, just a stone’s throw from their child’s hospital bed.
