A DRIVER who dazzled other road users on the M5 between Bromsgrove and Droitwich was caught by police for being on a ‘non-essential journey’.

The motorist in the Volkswagen (pictured) had been using full beam when travelling from Junction 4a (Bromsgrove) and Junction 5 (Wychbold).

When officers from Worcestershire Operational Policing Unit pulled them over they claimed it was because neither of the dipped headlights on the vehicle were in working order.

It then transpired the journey was made because they had been visiting friends in Birmingham when they lived in London.

The driver was advised this was not essential travel during the Coronavirus lockdown and was reported for all the offences.
