LOCAL charity ‘Sight Concern’ teamed up with Specsavers in Bromsgrove this week to host a range of fundraising activities.

Together they ran a book sale, arranged tombola, offered haircuts, and gave away pizza vouchers to passers-by.

The charity is now looking to host a ‘fun day’ on tomorrow (August 25) where organisers will be in the High Street store to talk to locals about the work they do.

Visitors will have the chance to experience various sight-tests using specially designed glasses.

Store Director, Mark Gibson, said: “We’ve supported Sight Concern for a few years because, like ourselves, they believe in the importance of eye health.

“We’re looking forward to seeing lots of friendly faces in store on Saturday to support this fantastic cause.

“We hope the money raised by the end of the week will help Sight Concern continue with their great work.”

Sight Concern Worcestershire is the only program of its kind dedicated to improving the lives of people with sight loss across Worcestershire.

The charity started life in 1880 as Worcestershire Blind Visiting Service.
