A LIFE-SAVING defibrillator has been installed at the new Cofton Hackett Parish Village Hall.
The emergency equipment is capable of restarting a person’s heart if they suddenly go into cardiac arrest.
Rubery Councillor Peter McDonald, who purchased the defibrillator with his divisional funds, said: “It will greatly increases the chance of saving a life.
“Not to mention reducing the risk of broken ribs or other intrathoracic damage which cause unnecessary complications in recovery.
“Hopefully it will never be needed, but if it is, it may well save someone’s life.”
