MEMBERS of Lickey Hills Society took to their wonderful woodlands last month to take part in a littler pick as part of a larger environmental project to help tidy up Britain.

The society organised the Spring Litter Pick on March 25 in support of Keep Britain Tidy’s national Great British Spring Clean campaign.

The Great British Spring Clean, which ran from March 17 to April 2, is the nations biggest mass-action environmental campaign aimed at encouraging local people to take pride in their area and be pro-active in keeping it clean and tidy.

The Lickey Hills Society Spring Litter Pick is the first of two events organised, with another litter pick planned for the autumn.

Lickey Hills Society spokesperson said: “As always, very many thanks to all those members and friends who supported this event and in the process helped to improve the appearance of the country park.
