THE CUSTODIANS of the Lickey Hills have announced the date for this year’s Autumn Litter Pick.
Lickey Hills Society will host its annual litter pick from 10am to 12 noon on Saturday, October 5. Participants should meet at the visitor centre on Warren Lane.
The society has been holding these litter picks for many years to support the work of the rangers and to help keep the country park looking as clean and tidy as possible.
As in previous years, the event will be held in early October before the majority of the leaves start to fall and hide the litter.
A spokesperson for the Lickey Hills Society said: “Thanks to the work of the paid litter pickers and the vast number of volunteers, amounts of litter in the Country Park are generally quite low but there is always work to be done.
“Please join us for as long as you can manage. We hope to see you on the 5th.”
Litter pickers will need to wear appropriate clothing and footwear and gloves. Litter pickers and sacks will be provided.
