RUNNING group Lickey End Striders have raised over £350 for Blood Cancer U.K after their annual Blood Cancer UK 5k and 10k had been cancelled due to Covid-19.

Coach and run Leader Dylan Gould decided to organise a social event for Lickey End Striders to help raise some funds for the charity.

Nicole Harris from Blood Cancer U.K said : “We would like to say how grateful we are to the Lickey End Striders, as well as our supporters who did our virtual fun run and raised £1500.

“Blood cancer is still present amongst us and funds are needed for vital research”.

On Sunday 16th May 17 runners ran the 5k and 10k course, led by Sian Smith.

Another 29 runners completed the course on Bank Holiday Monday.

So far the Lickey End Striders have raised £365 and £88.25 in gift aid.
