Latest consultation launched on Perryfields development

A DEVELOPER is inviting Bromsgrove residents to have their say on proposals for the third phase of new homes at the Perryfields development.

Taylor Wimpey is in the early stages of preparing proposals for approximately 423 homes on land off Perryfields Road, Bromsgrove, with a mix of properties to suit a range of buyers.

Of the new homes, 30 per cent will be classed as affordable housing in line with Section 106 and local policy requirements, equating to approximately 127 homes.

Outline planning permission for a development of up to 1,300 homes as well as a variety of new community facilities, including an extra care facility, a school and a local centre, was approved in August 2021 and this application is for the third phase of the development.

Taylor Wimpey will hold a public consultation to seek the views of local residents and stakeholders from October 2 to October 16.

People will also get the chance to speak to the project team in person during a public exhibition in the Fairfield Suite at the Holiday Inn Bromsgrove from 4.30pm until 8pm on Wednesday, October 2.

Helen Chard, land director for Taylor Wimpey North Midlands, said: “Gathering the views of the local community is a vital stage in the development process and we are keen to hear what residents living near the site think of our current proposals.

“This is the third phase of our Perryfields development and whilst we know that residents will be aware of the plans to date, we now want to seek feedback on our latest proposals.”
