TWO SIBLINGS who have faced their own challenges during the lockdown have dedicated their time to raising a record-breaking amount for the Catshill Baptist Foodbank.

Maisie Fountain, who has Cystic Fibrosis, and brother Luke vowed to complete a fitness routine every day with a view to raising £100 for the cause but at the latest count their tally was up to £2,500.

Among the exercises the pair have taken on have been 5,000 bounces on the trampoline in a week, running races, a bike ride around the garden and swinging.

The family has also had a tough time because, as well as having to isolate, dad Mark has had to move out so he could continue working.

Jackie Medler, who now manages the foodbank with husband Keith, said: “At the foodbank we are so impressed with their determination to complete this, and thrilled with the support they have raised.

The demand for the foodbank has gone up fourfold since before the lockdown.
