Kind-hearted fostering agency makes 'blanket donation' to The Basement Project

A KIND-HEARTED fostering agency recently made a ‘blanket donation’ to The Basement Project and its young people.

Foster children at Foster Care Associates (FCA), based in Stoke-Prior, spent weeks knitting colourful blankets to donate to the homeless charity’s rough sleepers.

Pamela Springer, registered manager at FCA Midlands said: “They have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the knitting project.

“It was their choice to donate the blankets to The Basement Project because of the support it offers to care leavers.”

The children recognised the importance of helping others and couldn’t think of a more worthwhile local cause.

Speaking on The Basement Project, which is based on Hanover Street, Pamela added: “It does fantastic work. We hope to work more closely with the staff there in the future.”

Launched in 1994, FCA is one of the UK’s largest independent foster agencies.

It works closely with local authorities to provide caring and stable homes for looked after children.
