Kev's Coaches bus withdrawn from three Northfield roads after vandalism attacks

BUS operator Kev’s Coaches has said it decided today (Saturday) not to run the 19 service along three roads in Northfield because of persistent vandalism.

The bus did not serve Overbury Road, Ingoldsby Road and Longfellow Road because of the attacks.

In a statement on the B31 Voices Facebook page, Des Rogers from Kev’s said: “A gang of youths in Longfellow Road are attacking buses and breaking windows with sometimes pieces of concrete.”

He warned if the behaviour was not stopped, it could lead to a passenger or driver being injured.

“This is a risk we cannot take.”

He concluded his statement by urging anyone who knew who the culprits were to report them to police on 101 or anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800 555 111
