Join the litterpicks in Rubery, Rednal and Frankley as part of the B45 Great British Spring Clean 2023

A RALLYING call has been issued for volunteers to join litterpicks in Rubery, Rednal and Frankley as part of this year’s B45 Great British Spring Clean.

The Rubery Wombles and Rednal Litter Busters have joined forces for this year’s campaign with several areas having already been tidied.

On Saturday, Callowbridge Road and New Road in Rubery were targeted and on Monday, it was litterpickers at the ready for Egghill Lane.

Today (Tuesday), Edgewood Road and the surrounding area was the subject for action.

Tomorrow (Thursday), the team will be cleaning behind Morrisons on the Great Park.

And on Saturday, March 25, rubbish will be removed from the Bugle pub and Wareham Road in Frankley.




On Sunday, March 26, the litterpick will take place in Cofton Park.

Bringing down the curtain on this year’s efforts will be New Inns Lane and Gannow Green Lane on Tuesday, March 28, Cockhill Lane and Deelands Road on Thursday, March 30, and next Saturday, April 1, the last one will be at St Chad’s Park.


All collections start 10am, with the exception of Thursday’s behind Morrisons which will start at 9.30am.

Further litterpicks are being organised and will be added to the itinary.

The Great British Spring Clean is organsied each year by Keep Britain Tidy.
