Joggers urged to race in Bromsgrove Fun Run

Bromsgrove Editorial 4th May, 2024   0

A RALLYING call has been issued for people to take on the Bromsgrove Blood Cancer UK run on Sunday, May 12.

The event starts at Bromsgrove Rugby Club with participants choosing either 5k and 10k routes.

The 5k route, which can be walked, follows the canal towpath for some of the route so children aged 10 or under can take part. Youngsters must be accompanied by an adult.

The 10k is more challenging and attracts runners from a wide area. The run will use chip timing.

All runners will receive a medal and those raising £30 before the day of the race will receive a Blood Cancer UK running vest.

The fun run has struggled in recent years to get back to pre-Covid levels so the organisers are hoping runners will be inspired to lace up their trainers for this good cause.

The run is limited to 500 runners so those thinking of signing up should get in quick.

Visit riderhq.com/events/p/t1t8j64q/f/blood-cancer-uk-bromsgrove-fun-run-2024 to register.

Runners should collect their number and chip on the morning of the race and be present at least an hour before the race as they need to be taken to the start for 10.50am.

Participants who have raised £30 will also receive their T-shirt on the morning of the race.
