Jobseekers can get help in their quest for work with South and City College's virtual sessions

PEOPLE from south Birmingham can get help on applying for jobs online at a virtual event which got under way yesterday.

South and City College and the local JobCentre are working together, putting on training via Microsoft Teams. The event is being supported by Northfield MP Gary Sambrook

There are a wide variety of topics, including CVs and Cover Letters, Transferable Skills, Introduction to Customer Service, Employer Preparation, Dos and Don’ts of Online Interviews and Job Searching.

Today, between 9.30am and 12.30pm (with a break from 10.30am to 10.45am), there will be Interview Techniques Employer Prep Dos and Don’ts of Online Interviews, Individual and group tasks/Powerpoint




Then from 1pm to 3pm there will be an Introduction to Customer Service Individual and group tasks/Powerpoint

Tomorrow (Wednesday, March 31), between 9.30am and 12.30pm (break 10.30am to 10.45am) there will be CVs and Cover Letters, Transferable Skills, Individual and group tasks/Powerpoint.


From 1pm to 3pm tomorrow, there will be Job Search Individual and group tasks/Powerpoint

And on Thursday from 9.30am to 12.30pm (with a break between 10.30am and 10.45am), there will be an Introduction to Customer Service, Individual and group tasks/Powerpoint

From 1pm to 3pm there will be Interview Techniques and Employer Prep Dos and Don’ts of Online Interviews
