A TEAM from Jerroms accountants have helped community group Keep Bromsgrove Beautiful (KBB) return a part of the district to its former glory by joining a litter-pick in Stoke Prior.

The Jerroms team cleared the surrounding area by their office of unsightly litter, before moving on to the industrial estate and eventually clearing private car parks used by local businesses along Hanbury Road and Stoke Pound Lane.

Employees collected 16 bags of rubbish, separated into recyclable and non-recyclable items.

KBB founder Sarah Milburn said: “Keep Bromsgrove Beautiful are excited to be working in partnership with Jerroms and we applaud their commitment to keep the area around their office clean and litter free.

“We are looking forward to working with the Jerroms team and building on opportunities which will be of benefit to the town and local residents.”

Tom May, Jerroms’ client director, added he was so proud the team could give something back.

“Not only is litter an eyesore that makes our local areas look untidy and uncared for, but it can also have devastating impacts on local wildlife.

“Over the last year, we have all come to appreciate our local environment even more and to enable us to continue to do so, it is important we all play our part in ensuring it is kept tidy and litter free.

“By working together, and supporting Keep Bromsgrove Beautiful, we can make a difference.”

Research shows more than 2million pieces of litter are dropped in the UK every day, collectively costing the taxpayer more than £1billion-a-year in litter clearance.
