YOUNGSTERS at Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School have made the most of the extreme cold weather by taking a walk around the local area to learn how the low temperatures affect the natural environment.
The children also went into the nursery’s nature garden where they noticed the water in the bird baths had turned to ice and the ground was frozen.
This led to a discussion about how the children could help the wildlife.
The kind-hearted Jellybabies youngsters decided to refill the bird baths with fresh water and made bird feeders from apples.
Nursery manager Jacqueline Walker said the activities were a lovely learning experience that the children all really enjoyed.
