STAFF and children from Jellybabies Nursery in Longbridge celebrated volunteer Darren’s birthday with a special ‘pirate party’.
Darren has been a volunteer at Nursery for 12 years and helped plan the party with his carer.
The party included the children learning to talk like a pirate, participating in a PE activity following the roles of a pirate, learning about life on the sea, walking the plank and sword fights.
Jellybabies Nursery manager Jacqueline Walker said: “This was a great way for the children to learn about the wider world while having lots of fun.
“We feel it is important to celebrate our volunteers.”
