CHILDREN at Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-school learned about the importance of fire safety when they had a special visitor, writes Ryan Oldfield.
Firefighter Adam Brady made the experience both educational and fun when he visited the youngsters at Longbridge Methodist Church.
The first saw the children learn what to do and what not to do, if ever there was a fire in their home.
To make it a memorable visit for the students they participated in a series of role plays, learning how to do the famous ‘Stop, Drop and Roll’.
Before his next visit, the children were tasked with doing a fire safety checklist at home.
During the second visit, firefighter Adam presented each child with their own Junior Fire Inspector Certificates as a reward for completing their mission.
