STAFF and youngsters from Jellybabies Nursery put their best foot forward to raise funds for The Dog’s Trust.

They took part in the PAW Patrol on a Stroll month which is held during October.

The charity provides life-changing care and forever homes for thousands of four-legged friends.

The children rose to the challenge and, joined by rescue dog Spikey owned by volunteer Darren and manager Jacqueline Walker, they walked more than a mile.

The youngsters were taught ‘dos and don’ts’ around dogs, the needs of dogs and how to be safe around them, as well as participating in Paw Patrol themed literacy activities.

By the end they had raised £25 for the cause.

There was also a special celebration as Brian, who has volunteered at Jellybabies for 32 years, undertaking 20 hours-a-week, celebrated his 88th birthday.
